This is a message for Peter Jackson. I would be grateful if you could pass it on to him.
Last week, as we were walking a section of the Cumbria Way, following his guide book, we met and fell into conversation with the lady who owns The old Rectory in Sebergham (p154-155).
She was interested in the book and thrilled to find that her ‘well-kept lawn’ rated an entry into the book! What tickled her even more was the mention of the flagpole. She told us in great detail about the scout camp which they used to run and the fact that the flagpole was only up for a fortnight each year for the duration of the camp. It made her day!
