Ron Howard was born in 1925 in Hammersmith, West London, where he lived and worked as a professional photographer until 1996. His lifelong love for and career in photography began at school and continues to this day.
In 1982 he became a Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photographers (FBIPP), the highest attainable qualification in professional photography.
He has been married to Joyce for over 60 years and they have two sons, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Although now officially retired from professional photography, Ron never goes anywhere without his camera and continues to photograph local shows, friends and family at every opportunity. He produces his photos with the continued assistance of his wife Joyce, who has supported his business and helped with the production and presentation of his photos throughout his career.
They now live happily in Dorset where they are both active members of their local camera club.
