Hannah Ensor graduated from Kings’ College London with a BSc (Hons) in 2004 hoping it was the start of a challenging and interesting career, but over the next few years became increasingly disabled due to a combination of conditions. When this left her hardly able to talk for 3 months in 2006 she started drawing cartoons to tell stories of hospital life and to keep her sense of humour fully operational.
It worked.
From then on her tongue in cheek, accurate observations on life depicted in simple stickman form have proved popular. This led her to create a small business “Stickman Communications” putting her cartoons to good use. After illustrating & writing two booklets, leaflets etc. she has now moved on to fully fledged books.
Her cartoons often take awkward explanations and turn them into light-hearted talking points – to the benefit of all concerned. Unless you have no sense of humour – in which case please do not read any of her books. Ever.
